When: October 28th – 29th, 9:00 am-5:00 pm both days. Please arrive at 8:30 for set up and check in.

Whether you are a novice or an experienced user of our products, this course will provide you with a full understanding of the functionality of our Nexus and Shark power meters. This course is perfect for substation employees, PQ engineers, metering technicians, project engineers, and energy managers. Course content includes, but is not limited to:

  • Introduction to the meters’ configuration and features.
  • Communicating with meters using a variety of protocols.
  • Programming the meters at setup.
  • Evaluating and interpreting data in real time.
  • Retrieving old data from the meter’s memory.
  • Software configuration with our Communicator EXT, MeterManager EXT, and EnergyReporter EXT platforms.


Attendees are required to bring a working laptop with WiFi capability, and should install our Communicator EXT software (click here to download) prior to arriving.

In-Process Environmental Testing and 100% Inspection

EIG meters utilize brand-name, industrial temperature components. They receive 100% component insertion inspection, automated computer controlled testing, temperature deviation-based accelerated life burn-in testing and extensive 2.5 KV dielectric testing. We strive to achieve low failure rates by using comprehensive quality-based design and manufacturing techniques. We test extensively so that users can be confident that when they receive and EIG meter, it is one of the best in the industry.
