EIG Releases BACnet/IP for the ST40 Compact DIN Rail Mounted Energy and Power Quality Meter
Westbury, NY (Wednesday, January 5, 2022) – Electro Industries/GaugeTech (EIG) announces the release of BACnet/IP communication for its compact, DIN-rail mounted ST40 energy and power quality meter. The ST40 is one of the smallest power quality meters available, designed for applications where space is at a premium. Its small size and big capabilities make it perfect for machine level monitoring, alternative energy metering, or equipment power quality recording.
The introduction of BACnet/IP to the ST40 enables the meter to act as a BACnet server and seamlessly integrate with any BACnet building management system or application. With BACnet/IP, the ST40 is ideal for use in “Green” buildings, LEED certification, and other cutting-edge energy management strategies. The ST40 with BACnet has a web interface for remote BACnet/IP and Modbus configuration. It supports tracking of energy readings through the Internet using any standard Web browser or through the cloud using EIG’s EnergyPQA.com® AI driven energy management system.
The ST40 meets ANSI C12.20 0.2 Accuracy Class. Its power quality capability includes up to 512 samples/cycle waveform recording and Harmonic magnitudes to the 40th order. The meter has extensive memory to store load profiles, system events, limits, and alarms. Its communication ports consist of a front panel USB port for local data downloads and either an RS485 serial port that communicates Modbus RTU and DNP3, a 10/100BaseT Ethernet port that communicates Modbus TCP/IP, or the BACnet/IP Ethernet port.
