Electro Industries Releases Nexus 1500+ Power Quality and Revenue Meter


Westbury, NY (Thursday, September 17, 2015) – Electro Industries / GaugeTech (EIG) announced the release of the Nexus 1500+ Power Quality meter for metering critical energy circuits. The Nexus 1500+ meter is the first product designed with EIG’s Constant Calibration™ architecture, which causes the meter to auto-calibrate every ten seconds, for highly stable and accurate readings. Additional features of the meter include:

  • Meets and exceeds IEC 62053-22 0.06% revenue metering accuracy
  • Multiple communication ports, including two separately configurable Ethernet ports, supporting multiple protocols
  • Provides IEC 61850 including GOOSE for substation automation and substation fault cross-trigger
  • Up to 4000 MB memory for storage
  • IEC 61000-4-30 Class A and customizable EN 50160 reporting
  • Waveform capture on alarm, including in response to GOOSE messages
  • 50 MHz Transient waveform sampling speed

The Nexus 1500+ meter is ideal for co-generation, independent power providers, substation automation, grid monitoring, distribution substation reliability measurements, and in any applications in which critical metering data and power quality analysis is essential.

They receive 100% component insertion inspection, automated computer controlled testing, temperature deviation-based accelerated life burn-in testing and extensive 2.5 KV dielectric testing. We strive to achieve low failure rates by using comprehensive quality-based design and manufacturing techniques.
